What was she thinking?

I read this sad news article online today.

It talked about this 8 year old girl named Brittany Campbell.

She is in beauty pageants.

This is pretty neat, I suppose.

The sad thing is that the girl, and her mother are convinced that Brittany has wrinkles.
Where on earth did either one of them come up with this idea?
*Eight year old's do not have wrinkles.

Plus, on top of this her mom thinks it is okay to give her daughter botox injections.
Why?

The website for the video,included in this blog explains that the botox is supposedly for the wrinkles on Brittany's face.

I repeat ...Eight years have no wrinkles...Brittany Campbell has no wrinkles.

Her mom...
1. Is wrong to give her this injections because...
a. Brittany did not ask for them
b. Her daughters wrinkles are just thier imaginations gone wild
c. The girl is to young for such a procedure.
d. It is against the law for anyone under age 18 to get this in USA, so her mom is breaking the law by giving these injections to a minor.
e. The girl says she hates this.
f. The mom should be charged with child abuse,cause this is cruel to do this to her small child.
g. Only a medical professional should be doing this procedure.
h. No matter what her mom claims it is not proven to be safe for those under age 18.
2. Has no common sense.
a. She listens to bad advice from other people.
b. She thinks she needs to change her daughter in order for her to remain in pageants at age 8.
c. She thinks it is okay to put some toxic stuff on a needle and to put it into her daughters skin.
d. Her daughter looks like she wants to cry in the video.
e. Her daughter says at first "I do not know why I am having these injections." She only changes her statement after her mother gives her a disapproving look.
f. She acts so insecure, and comes across as only loving her daughter under the condition that her daughter wears way to much makeup,looks and acts like a grownup,which is not realistic cause she is a child,for crying out loud.

Why hasn't this girl gone into her room,closed the door, and locked her mom out. She should have called CPS on her mom, or the neighbors,or news staff should have.
This girl is being abused, why isn't anyone stopping this?

The girl did not even get numbed before the procedures. How messed up is this?

What was the girls' mother thinking? Seriously? What is the matter with someone loving their child for who they are and not how they look?
